On Sunday, December 3, 2017, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has scheduled a 30-minute maintenance window for Formstack servers which will impact live Forms, Formstack login Accounts, Submissions, and Third Party Integrations. The maintenance window is scheduled for 30-minutes beginning at 3:00 am EST (8:00 am UTC) while our User and Form traffic is at a minimum.
Formstack will be unavailable and unresponsive for up to 60-seconds at some point within this maintenance window but we have reserved 30-minutes for any failover from the primary to the secondary database servers. We will maintain continuous communication throughout the process on our status site at status.formstack.com
Details about the maintenance:
The Amazon RDS DB instance is scheduled to receive system upgrades during this maintenance window. While the system upgrades are in progress, Single-AZ deployments will be unavailable for a few minutes during the maintenance window. Multi-AZ deployments will be unavailable for the amount of time it takes a failover to complete, usually about 60 seconds, also included in this maintenance window.
- During the 60-second outage, Formstack’s web application, including live Forms, emails, webhooks, API transmissions, and the ability to accept submissions will be unavailable. Those attempting to access live Forms or the Formstack web application will receive a placeholder message indicating Formstack is unavailable. This message will be removed immediately post-maintenance and downtime completion.
- Upon completion of the maintenance, all systems and activity will resume and no action will be required on your part.
